The City's Home Energy Loan Program (HELP) offers competitive fixed rate loans of up to $75,000 to homeowners interested in improving the energy and water efficiency of their homes.

On average, HELP participants are saving $560 per year and using 25-30% less energy, while at the same time significantly improving household comfort.

To qualify:

you must own a detached, semi-detached, or row house in Toronto
your City property tax and utility accounts must be in good standing
you must obtain the consent of your mortgage lender, if applicable

Eligible improvements for HEATING & COOLING include:

High-efficiency furnaces / boilers / air conditioners
Air source heat pumps
High-efficiency water heaters
Geothermal systems

Terms of up to 20 years are available for projects that include solar, windows, geothermal and/or heat pumps.
